Our mission

Music Impacts Community exists to make music, both learning it and experiencing it, available to everyone in our community, regardless of background or means.

We do that through public performances, free instruction, and partnerships with local community programs.

Our story

The MIC began as a simple idea between friends. Friends with a shared passion for creating positive change in their communities and uplifting local young musicians.

Word spread. Volunteers showed up. Families asked when the next performance would be. What started as an idea quickly grew to become a program, and what was once a program became a tightly-knit community.

Today, The MIC is comprised of nearly thirty dedicated students who help plan performances, teach lessons, and strengthen connections with community members year-round. Every note we play is a thank you to the people who made, and keep making, this possible.
